Would it be possible to include a photo album as part of the cause? This would enable our members to see our latest events etc...
This application does not do business with Israel....
by David at 11:58am on August 26th, 2008
....And had "palestine" in the list of countries until i complained. many of the causes are fake. they sponsor a "hezbollah" cause despite many complaints about it. figures most of the people behind this app are obama supporters. furthermore, many of the "causes" on here are antisemitic in nature and aim to delegitimize Israel and the Jewish people and promote genocide and ethnic cleansing through the wiping of Israel off the map. the folks behind this cause blamed "network for good" and "network for good" tried to pin it on outdated and inaccurate credit card information. my organization believes something else is at play here. write me to read learn more about it.....
Unable to invite more friends
by Debra at 9:28pm on August 24th, 2008
When I click on the link for the cause so I can invite more friends (2nd day) I have to put in my password. When I put in my password I get an error page saying it's the wrong password.
Technical Help
by Julie at 11:19am on August 21st, 2008
I've tried several time to add the box to my profile page, and it adds a box that says "you have no causes"...I can't add my cause to it. Also - I've tried adding an application tab as it suggests, but I can't do that either. Any advice? I'm pretty techno-literate but this is frustrating. Thank you. Also - is there another place to go for technical help on these applications?

How do we talk to someone?
Not a scam at all. Great fundraising tool.
by Christine at 12:31pm on August 19th, 2008
Based on my personal experience donating to a nonprofit here, Facebook Causes is not a scam at all. I had a very pleasant experience, and the amount I chose to donate was the amount charged to me. Elissa, if what you wrote is true, please provide more details. If someone is using this tool to scam people, then obviously, they need to be removed and reported. I would also advise people not to save their credit card info on Facebook after donating - i.e. don't keep the info stored on your FB page. As long as you don't do that, I really don't see any risk to donating here as opposed to through any other medium.

I apologize for having to post this question because I know you're very busy but I haven't been able to find the answer. I'd like to know what information is sent to our beneficiary of choice when the check is mailed each month. The reason I ask is because my Cause is an account that is part of the beneficiary I would choose (a university's foundation). The foundation simply needs some information specifying that the money should be directed to my particular Cause. So, if the name of my Cause would appear on the check/letter/etc. that is sent to the foundation - then all is well. If you could help provide a little more information I'd greatly appreciate it.

Omar -- access to viewing all the donations on the cause you administer is possible by viewing "all donations" when you're looking at the Hall of Fame. You can see everything that's come in so far, but you won't necessarily have dates of all the donations. If you were a nonprofit, you could claim your profile at http://www.causes.com/partners/new and be able to track donations and the donation history, but we don't release this information to regular administrators because they are not accepting the donations. Does that help?

Hey all,

If you are on the wall or discussion board, and you know the answer to a fellow Causes user's question, I would love for you to start communicating with each other and helping each other out because right now, the only people answering support e-mails are still me and my fantastic support team member Shari. We are absolutely swamped, and know that a lot of questions are recurring, and that some of you fantastic users know just as much as we do regarding things like starting a cause.

I would be thrilled if you could help me out if you know how to reply, because it's really hard to keep up with the users on this page in addition to our multiple inboxes. Thanks, and you'll be helping me become better at being a Director of Support and helping Causes users learn how to use the tools we build even better.

Kelly, we support 501(c)3 nonprofits listed with Guidestar.org (www.guidestar.org) as public charities that are opted in for online donations. Our donation processor is Network for Good. Please email partner@causes.com and I'll send it along to the proper nonprofit coordinator -- however, Townsend is absolutely right, you can just click on "Start a Cause" and create your cause! Thanks!
